Dear all.

 

After a long time of trying to come up with an affordable way of chroming chroming headlight inserts, I have failed and decided to leave it.

 

Unfortunately, there are too many stages and the costs are too much to make them affordable. I know that some of you are hoping to order some but I am going to have to cry off.

 

I am still however going to continue doing the metal chroming of the Balance Bars, Bonnet Stays and a few order bits that are not available by other traders but apart from that, that is that.

 

I apologize if I have let anyone down with the lights but they are just too much hassle.

OOOO *****X!! The only reason I've not had mine over to you since last summer is because The car has been from one garage to another and I still haven't got her back. Really sorry to hear this mate. Looks like its back to the chrome vinyl when she comes home. :cry:

What was the problem with chroming the headlight inserts?

 

Was it too expensive or did it not work properly?

 

Just I really wanted a set.

Sorry and haven't been on in a while, been busy trying to sort out my little one's christening. Should be all done by mid March.

 

I have been given a source for an alternative method for chroming. If it turns out that it is more reliable and there is less f*cking about involved, and there is still interest, I am more than happy to pick up the gauntlet again.

 

I will update when I have more.
