sounds daft but im enquiring about a set of 18"alloys and the company say the rear ones will fit no probs but the fronts will rub on the brake callipers

my question is can callipers be moddified to fit wheels or ajusted somehow i really dont want to lose out on these wheels might just take a grinder to them lol

thanks in advance greg

Not that this is any help, but isnt it a nightmare trying to find 18s?

Ive been looking for ages and whenever i find any i like, they dont fit. :mac1: Some really nice wheels in the Zcentre but they all cost roughly £ludacris.

If its any consolation, i like the wheels you have.

Greg don't fook around and get some that fit straight on;)

Spacers may bring the wheel on to the arch when cornering, or

bottoming out the suspension. the idea of grinding the area

where the caliper hits is not too far from the answer than you think

depending on how much the difference is, if we are talking just a small

amount why not considder having them turned properley by an

engineering co? This ia only an answer if we wre talking 1/8" or so.

Also the cost woutd have to be economic to the price of the wheels!

if life was that simple lol always when you want a specific item theres problems im waiting for a reply to see how much work would be needed

if not il have to opt for azev 'M' 18" :D

Greg, seriously, I have to agree with the big man, DONT go grinding calipers or wheels to "make" things fit, it's a dangerous game mate, last thing you want is a caliper failing, or worse, a wheel failing at speed. You'd never forgive yourself.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm azev M's!

echo......I had a set of alloys modified to fit my GT4 a few years back...I clipped a kerb at 40mph, the wheel shattered, car was written off...and we never found the remains of the wheel !

if its someone like OZ racing - they will tell you the correct fitment, and should tell you if you need 5 mil spacers. You can get them at halfrauds

My advice is dont go more than 5 mil spacers - if you value you life haha

I got some millie miglia impera 2s ,they came with 2 or 3mm spacers this still allows the hubs seating ring to protrude and locate the wheel on, in fact I like them cause the spokes curves round the caliper looking like its designed that way.

Greg accordingto the AZEV web site it looks like the M design might also need a spacer, but I cant tell cos its in German, and doesnt get translated when you click for english. Shows sizes same as my AZEV C style . 8.5"front and 10"rear. HTH. Pete
