First scarey moment!

Went to Harrys this afternoon to get some adapter plugs for me CD player and looked into the car park and thought "Stuff that!" so parked in Bravo & Quebec car park instead...LMAO biggrin.gif

I have a habit of going way to far into any parking space and did this as usual, got out of the car saw the couple of feet off the white line at the back of the car and thought I'd better check the front!

Especially seeing as there was a sheer sloap right in front of the car with stones and boulders on the kerb.

Got round to the front, stuck me bonce right down and Shhhhiiiitttttt...Fuuuccckkkkk! Fookin' large boulder wedged right under the front spoiler and denting it real bad!

My heart sank, started holding my head like an unwise monkey whilst saying "Shit shit shit" etc.

So I jump back in the car asap and back it up, Mrs. Turbo goes round the front and starts laughing...so I get outta the car and leg it round the front...dent has gone...miraculous! biggrin.gif

It may feel solid when you tap it but at least it gives and flexes.

Moral of the story is this...

Thank fuck I'm getting a Stillen front the same as MAC1's(Iain) which is made of Urethane which is similar to the OE Z front, if that had been a fibreglass front it would have been well and truly Phuket! wink.gif

Here endeth the lesson! wink.gif

Thats fine if you want a front spoiler that flaps around in the wind at 140mph... flap flap flappety flap wobble wobble rubber lips wibble.

On the other hand you could buy a SE Monza Nosecone like mine, solid as a rock mate. Wont give an inch.

Unfortunately neither do speed bumps at Silverstone car parks.

Hence I now have a crack in it bigger than an Airstewardesses crotch.

:)

SE have developed a new product called Monza 2. This has a detachable bottom bit so if you mangle it on a speed bump, it's not so much of a drama to get fixed.

I have just taken off my hat (embroided with the Z logo) to the Mac-Man for getting his Zed upto 176mph with nary a wobble, wibble or flappetty flap.
