I see in a demon tweeks mag that they do a thermal lagging kit for turbos aswell as the ehaust pipe lagging, to basically dissipate the heat.

Not the cheapest stuff to buy but I have found a very cheap source whilst working with some pipe laggers ;) just wondering if I will gain out of doing this or if there will be any disadvantages?????

cheers

As far as I am aware bud, the lagging is not to dissipate heat but to keep it in, possibly to stop it heating the engine bay.

I can only imagine it being bad for a turbo to insulate it.

deffo not a good idea.

lagging can cause cracks & fractures to appear.
