Im going to see 2 300zx`s on sat. One is uk the other is jap. I know all the advantages and disadvantages of both but not sure about the differences in parts. I know that most parts are the same but there must be some different parts that are a little harder to get hold of. Have owned a jap celica gt4, quite a few things were different. Mainly little things but had 2 wait an extra week or so on some things. Just as an example both cars are at the year when the cambelt should b done (not sure if they already have or not) would it be the same cambelt kit to buy from nissan? could some helpful people put some examples of when having an import has been an issue with parts or labour etc. thanks

to partly answer your question most things are the same there is a differance in the automatic uk version with the oil cooler being of better quality in any case nearly everthing can be got through the helpful traders on the forum good luck with your purchase

We're fairly lucky. All Jap parts (well, almost all) are readily available from specialists in the UK (see this forum's Trader section) or you can mailorder from http://www.conceptzperformance.com or http://www.courtesyparts.com

And if you're in Swindon, take a look at ZTech - also in Trader section.

Cambelt kits easily available - in fact, can't think of a part that you can't get: maybe the titanium keys (although someone just unearthed a batch.)

great links and info guys. Both im looking at are n/a and manual. Wouldnt mind tt just havent found one ive liked.

All UK ones are TTs. Just though I would let you know.

if both are n/a then they are both going to be imports bud, it wasnt officially available in the UK

funny u should mention that, just read it on one of the info links. Either the advert is wrong. Defo says uk non turbo, either is tt which would be good, or jap n/a.

You got it: there ain't no such animal as "uk non-turbo" (Z32, at least). Be warned: it's either a mistake or the first sign of a seller with little knowledge or too much bull! If you are Swindon way, should have a word with Baggins (ZTech).

Good luck - Gio

Welcome :D be sure to check out this Forum's For Sale section. Your far better off getting a car from an enthusiast on this board if you can.

Good luck with the purchase. :duffer:
