"not-so-universal" ApexI intake?

greed took over my better judgement when i got hold of this for £20. as you can see from the photo, the gasket leading to the MAF doesnt fit on the cone, no matter which way you rotate it.

is there any kind of adapter which will help me out or have i learned my lesson?

There's more than one Apexi filter - I would guess you've got the wrong one there, of course assuming the gasket is the correct one!. Consult the Apexi web site to check part numbers!

There is no adapter used normally, so I guess none exists since most people would save the hassle and buy the right one in the first place :-)

the gasket in the photo is from my old intake (Bomz racing) which ive been using for months and obviously matches the MAF. i saw this advertised as 'universal' so i went for it (again, against my better judgement). knowing my luck its the intake for a Corolla or something!!!

This has croppped up before on here mate, yer really should have doen a search  only way around this if you want to stick with it is use a double ally adapter plate, i can do yer one for around 35-40 quid or you can have a local metal shop make you one up, not too difficult.

Sometimes ebay just ain't such a good deal as it seems guys, least traders here supply the correct stuff for the Zed :)
