i love my 300zx but i think the time MAY (i empasis on the MAY) have come for a change. I have been looking at the TVT Tuscans and the porsche 996 (with GT3 spec kit). as many of you are full of wisdom i thought you could give me some insight into the above cars.

please dont hate me

If you can afford it go for it mate. Its up to you.

But dont put on a GT3 kit on. What is the point of kitting a car out to make it look a like another one.?

Good luck on whatever you decide bud,I really can't see why anyone would hate you for changing your car.The only thing that has happened on here in the past is when people have changed from their Z to another car and then come back on here to try and cause shite with how slow and crap their old car was.

Still the plan mate but circumstances at the mintue are only allowing me to do certain things....

Have my eye on a SWB TT Manual though..... ;)

My brother is like you he supposedly moved out from my mothers at the age of 18 but moves back in four or five times a year.

Good luck mate, I would say if you can afford it go for the Porker but you gotta love the TreVoR for what it is! Sounds the bo110x and goes like a professional Scandanavian sausage gobbler being paid double time!!!

i dont know much about either of the 2 cars especially in terms of performance. My Zed is fairly rapid with 360 BHP AT the rear wheels. what i dont want to do is buy another car and it not up to scratch performance wise. Does anyone here now about performance of TVR tuscan 4.0s and a bog standard porsche 996

Get out! D'you hear me? GET OUT AND NEVER COME BACK!

Only joking mate! I like my 300 but I know I probably won't have it for ever (although I would like to).

If I was considering those, I'd also think about a mint, late R34 GTR, a 2003 Supra TT (!) or even a mid 90s Aston. Good luck whatever you go for.

TBH mate talking from working with them for 2 years if you want a car like a zed (i.e. always needing mending) go for the TVR. If you want it to last then get the (slower) Porsche. You lose on sound and performance compared to the TVR but they need lots of repairs IMHO.
