I paid 5K for mine back in September 2000 & it was in mint condition (import).

It's still in good nick, but has sustained some damage over the last 4.5 years. None of which is due to me either I might add ;)

The rear bumpers need spraying. For some reason the paint has a habit of pealing on them! This wasn't helped by some plonker reversing into the back & doing a runner!

A slate fell off the works building onto the side of the car ripping the mirror off & scratching the wing! (I did get insurance pay off for that though :))

My mates neurotic girlfriend ripped the drivers side mirror off

Mechanically it's had a few problems too.

The auto box went bang whilst cruising along the A55, so I converted it to a Manual, AFM went caput, Fuel pump voltage controller circuit developed a fault, power steering hoses leak & there's a hesitation problem when the engine is warming up which I haven't got around to fixing.

Other than that, it's been fine Lol & still goes like a rocketship!

2.5 years here.

Totally standard and needed a bit of work when I bought her.

 Well will have my Zed as long as I can work and pay for it :duffer:

on my 2nd zed in 12 months, already clocked up 3 accidents and 6 months of having the zed off the road

A year in ten days time.

Only thing that's possibly gone wrong is a intermittent fault with a one way valve in the fuel pump.

I've ordered a replacement (£4.33 !) but apparently it'll take 4-6 weeks to come from Japan.

It may not be the fastest but I love it.

:) :duffer:

One month to the day. Still can't stop lookin out each window to get a different view of her. The missus thinks I'm so sad :o :o

Nearly a month....

Had to save 4 ages but well worth it.

I thought id grown up....

...Then i bought this :nana2:

Who Fixed Your Power Steering Hoses? I Live In Pwllheli And My Car Frightens Some Mechanics When They Pop That Bonnet

Dear Shaunmac I Live In Pwllheli And My Power Steering Hose Needs Fixing, Who Fixed Yours?

put mine down as 3 to 4 years, as im just about to come upto 3 years zed ownership,

And there doesnt seem to be a 2 to 3 years box!!

1 year come Feb 11th.

Cost me £1200 as a non runner and about £1800 to put right. (so far) :)

Would have been more than double that, but for the advice I have been given through this club !!

Alan.....

June '03 was when I brought her for £5500 - the best of three Zs bless her.

18 months on and no regrets...

...actually thats a lie ive had loads of regrets whenever something goes wrong but the regrets soon disappear ;)

Just over 3 years - and will keep it till I can afford a 355.

Even then might still keep it - who knows.

It's still broke! I just top up the reservoir every week or so. I haven't figured out which hose is knackered yet.

Shaun

Sweet Mary mother of God!!

I've will have had mine 6 years in April. I've never had a car as long in my life. Mind you I've only had it not in a garage for 2 weeks during the 18 months. + I've spent a shed load on her and have plans to remod her looks again.

This is some kind of sickness you know :smash:

It's quite interesting that the highest percentage have had their cars for less than a year. There's also been a load of zeds for sale too, fueling this increase no doubt.

It would be sad to see the Zed plumeting in value like the Z31 did, it does seem to be going that way though!

Just have to look at what you can get for £2.5k - 3k now. I think it's all ready happening! :(

Then again when you go to the Zclub meets, there are Z31's and then there are Z31's, but there are always more Z240's than any of the other marq's bar the Z32. Thats because they both have iconic looks and I bet you in ten years time the Z32 will be sort after again. + I'll still be wheeling mine out to the jaw dropping amazment of joe public.

I love my Z. Then again sometimes I hate her
