I did what I thought was sensible and sold my zed a month or so ago, however after sorting out money, and telling the wife my life is not worth living without my car, I am looking for another one. Woo Hoo!

I am so pissed off I sold the old one though, because what I really want is a Sliktop SWB NA. Now I don't know what to do... I have enough money to get a good car but I am back in the same situation I was in two years ago when I started looking for the frirst one- TT or NA?? I really liked my NA and I am seriously considering getting another one, but I am thinking about a TT if only to see how different it really is day to day. So, now I don't know what to do.

One big mistake I did make before was try and run it as a daily driver. I just don't think any sane person can. I even drove it through the winter fifty or sixty miles a day, had to abandon it in the middle of Birmingham when it snowed and I'm not going to make the same mistake again.

What should I do? TT or NA, Sliktop or Targa? I don't know if I'll find another SWB NA hardtop, so I might even have to slum it in a TT. Back to looking through the trader, but with actual 'real' money to buy a real car. I can't believe it.

Welcome back Rich :D :D :D.

The force of the Z is hard to resist! Good luck finding your ideal partner (to coin a certain mag's slogan ;)).

nice to see a member buying again surely uv had an N/A why not take the jump and get a TT otherwise you might regret it if you dont at least you can remove the turbos if you dont want them or put the car in safety boost then you got yourself an NA LOL

turbo only way to go

n/a's are for girls lol

steve

Gutted for you bud :( You know what I am going to say..... if I could turn the clock back, I'd have kept my NA, so I kind of know what youre going thru. My wish for you is that you find an NA as sweet as the one you had. I think you will end up with a turbo tho, which is not the end of the world, as they can be fun, just not as much fun:)

And cobblers to all those that havent tried an NA and slag them off, as someone who has owned both (which not everyone has) as an everyday, jump in and razz its nads off car, the NA is ahead by miles.

Welcome back mate.

I'd say finding a really nice, clean, honest car is more important than what sort of roof it has - but I guess some folk would disagree.

I agree- which is kind of the reason I went for an NA in the first place- I chose condition over everything else. I just ended up liking the roof, but it would be quite a novelty having the roof open.

I have still got your old ECU Jock, which I kept off my car in the hope I would get another to put it in! Anyway, I'm looking forward to looking.

The targa roof is nice round town but rubbish and noisy above 60mph. I guess with the choice of having it or not, I'd go for targa. But the speed merchants would probably disagree!

Rich,

Glad to see you are on the way back :D The force is strong in this Zedi.. cant you see if they still got ya old one bud ;) or find out where it went.

Happy hunting mate

Matt

Nice to see you're getting another Z Rich. Was very tempted to offer you mine there, so i can think about buying a TT. Its not a slick top, but its a SWB manual NA. BUT TBH im glad i have an NA and i dont think i could part with it anyway.

Good luck finding one you like buddy.

Scott
