Chipped or not??

Bought a 300zx a week ago, the owner claimed it is chipped, any way of telling if it is chipped or not?

If you get to the ECU some have a sticker on the outer casing, if not you will have to open the ECU lid and see if the Chip has had a socket put on to take after market chips.

Hope this helps bud :D

The Ecu is under the passenger foot well carpet. Lift the carpet, undo the 4 bolts holding the highly technical slap of hardboard and the ecu is on the right hand side, about six inches square and has a blue cable port running along the right hand side.

Thanks for the info will have more questions soon you will be sick of me by the end of this week lol

:rofl::rofl: Helpful as ever Dave........;)

why?

Stock boost, temp and oil readings are not the best on Zeds.

TBH unless you plan on playing with the engine, your fine with stock as you only need a rough guide as standard.

i can vouch for that - there is a 500rpm difference between my standard gauge and my RSM :eek: and a couple of PSI difference between my two boost gauges!
