we got rolling in second i was behind him, he went then i followed, he had a loverly pipe i stayed about 1 car behind him in second @.8 bar trhird gear i catch him quick and am about 2mm from his bumper kept having to back off, he moved over and i just ate him up bigtime.

All i can say is fook me they are fast, instant throttle responce for that car, very impressed.

The only subaru worth racing against is a 22b, all the rest are very very very overrated cars, they dont handly like they are supposed to, too wooly in the steering, they have bad spongy brakes and arent as fast as they like to think they are (or should be for the specs). Even the p1 licks balls, have you noticed how many are up for sale? owners all over are selling them and looking for the 22b (type uk) or the japanese import.

I spoke to a 22b (jap) owner at Oulton park a few weeks back, he had 2 p1's and after the first one was bad, he sold it thinking it must be a bad one, and the 2nd he said was just as bad, and he got the 22b and is well happy with it. He said a lot of people in the sidc wouldnt give a p1 the time of day.

My last mechanic in Dublin (who was unfortunately killed in a road accident this year) used to work on subaru rally cars as well as a few modified road ones, I drove a 22b he had and found it to be a very fast car, but not a nice car to drive on B roads, the P1 (which I also drove)is almost as quick but is a much nicer car to drive on normal roads.

I had a race against a WRX in my GTO when I had it, and the WRX was quicker they are very quick cars.

That said, give me an evo6 any day....

i went in the new wrx i was very impressed not as fast as the Z though

the only thing i didnt like is u put your foot down and it was crap untill the turbo kicked it at about 3000revs then it was off
