Hi

I have just rung my mob phone provider Vodafone (I'm contracted direct with them since they bought out Cellular Operations) to ask for a long overdue phone upgrade, I still have a 3330 ;) which turns off randomly and is generally outdated.

They wouldn't give me a "free" upgrade and said the cheapest was £50. Fook that, I'm paying line rental in order to get a phone :xxx: so I aint giving you more money. I got a "free" upgrade about 3 years ago but have been lazy since.

I asked the guy if I cancelled my contract and resterted another (I've been with them about 6 years) then would I get an up to date phone? He ummmed and ahhhed and said I wouldn't lol - wtf? A new contract with no phone - how would that work??? Dickhead.

I asked to speak to his manager which he refused  Saying that managers wouldn't deal direct with customers  He kept saying how £17.50 line rental doesn't fund a "£300 phone". :xxx: I dont want a £300 phone - I want whatever phone I dont have to pay out more for.

I do want to stay with vodafone as my mrs and most people in my phonebook are with them and crossnetworking would cost me more.

Does anyone have a decent contract with a Vodafone dealer they could recommend so I can sack these nobbers off? ;) And whats the deal with reassigning your mob number as I wouldn't want to change numbers.

Cheers

Pete

But O2 charge you for using their customer service

But O2 charge you for using their customer service

Well TBH I find 02 that good I have never needed to use their customer service

:duffer:

The Network your on does'nt matter anymore for cross network savings, since they all offer loads of free cross network minutes.

The main difference between networks is the packages they are offering and the line rental.

I've been with o2 for about 5 years now, never had to cal them except to add International calling to my account and that was free. They also offer online Customer services via website with chat, and thats free too.

eek just noticed on 3 network (red graphics made me think vodafone for some reason)

There are loads of offers on mate,

You should get a free phone, 200 mins cross network, & few extras for around £22 a month. Cant see any around the £17.50pm mark tho
