When I'm in 3rd gear, my gearstick moves backwards when I'm accelerating and forwards when i'm not, the movement is only about 3 mm but it is noticable, any idea's as to the cause ? I hope this doesn't mean the gearbox is on the way out!

no no big issue there, from what i understand there is a little bearing underneath the shifter which needs replacing, it is about 4 squid and you have to remove all the interior above the shifter then change it and presto

I have also posted about my gearbox being noisy in 2nd and 4th, more so 2nd, it was suggested that it was a 'top geabox seal' being split. Could this also be replaced at the same time ?

that will sort that noise otu aswell, the rubber around the gearbox may be loose and can be sealed at the same time.

reall nothing to much to owrry about i think.

Any Idea what the part numbers are ?
