erm.... no

I also have one that keeps telling me a new update is available which I dont really want to download (iffy serial)

i use ZoneAlarm and have the xp one disabled (and its clever enough to realise that zonealarm is running so it doesnt throw its toys out its pram). Try going into control panel then windows firewall or security centre. there must be a check box which allows you to turn off the warning!

Start regedit and go to:

HKLM\software\microsoft\security centre and locate FirewallDisableNotify.

Change the value to 00000001 to disable the alerts ;)

what motherboard did you get? is the 64bit chip working well with 64bit windows?

64 bit windows is a heap of shat.

Tried it when I upgraded to an amd64. 30% of windows own applications ie media player would not work with it. 60% of non 64 bit applications would not run and was very slow with most things it did.

DOD wiped it and put nomal XP pro on. sweet as a nut.

Start regedit and go to:

I got Firewall probs too.

Having a hardware firewall on your router does not preclude the requirement for a s/w one on the client - do both. I'd suggest the free version of Zonealarm.
