I have had

Kumho Exacta,

Hard as nails not suitable for a Z

Falken FK451,

Good medium priced tyre.

Goodrich Profiler

About same performance as Falken FK451 but last longer. Slightly more expensive

Bridgestone ER-30

Actually classed as a touring tyre. About the same grip as the Falken but last significently longer. More expensive though.

Bridgestone S02

FANTASTIC :D Very expensive, but only lasted 8000 miles :(. They where the extra soft Porsche compound

Bridgestone S03.

Nearly as good as the S02 but they will last for nearly twice as long.

These are my findings.

A lot of people on here use Goodyear Eagle F1s

Hi,

Depends on your budget but if you are after a very good compromise between cost, performance and lastability then I had Falkens on my MR2 Turbo and they were excellent. I have just had Fulda Extremos (£112 each for 265-35-18) and they are excellent in both wet and dry.

Hope this helps,

Justin:)

Dude i got bridgestone so-2s on the front and so-3s on the rear. Awesome is the only word i can use. Only other i would try would be eaglef1 but in my experience they dont last long

You'll be very lucky to find any S-O2's as they were discontinued over 2 years ago. I'm running Toyo Proxy's T1-S and have been pleased with it. They've been on for over a year (8k miles) and still have masses of thread - and I don't drive like a granny either! These have now also been discontinued and replaced by T1-R's which I've heard good things about. Think somebody on this forum is running these at the moment (don't know who though). My suggestion would be to find S-O3's or try the T1-R's.

Merry thingy to you to!

You can still get them as Porsches and TVRs come with S02 tyres. They only make a few sizes, hence the ones I got where Porsche compound, they are made to go on new Porsches

Kunho Ecsta 712's - You can get 2 sets for the price of a set of Goodyears or Avons, therefore twice the mileage

I was quoted £59 fitted for 225-50-16

CD

I've got Pirelli PZERO Asimmetrico all round on mine in 18". I'm very happy with them and they seem to be lasting well.

I stand corrected - thanks Stuart. Might be popping into my local TVR dealer next time I need new tyres then ... :D

Shouldn't have done a set of tyres in that time frame, unless you do a lot of continental driving LOL. Is it the rears that have gone?

Have to agree on the Goodyear F1 gsd3's, I intend to fit them to my Zed, but currently have them fitted to my Bmw and they really do grip like glue in wet or dry....and reasonable wear rate too.

What my tyres?

Yeah the where the rears.

Danny, they still do S02 on mytyres net.

I went for S03 because of the limited sizes they do on the S02 now, they dont do the size I wanted on the fronts any more so I would have different tyres on the front than rear. Which is no big problem, buts its nice to ahve the same all round.
