Now the cats out of the bag, Iam pleased to announce that Project N/A is now underway.

 

Around March time myself and Chris "and anyone else who wants to play out" are going to battle at Pod. For me its just for fun and also a very interesting project. In my opinion anyone can go out and buy pre made performance parts of the shelf for there TT's, bolt them on and think there car is improved by 1000hp. To my this is boring and does not require much engineering ability’s. For example you want to build a fast PC, so you go out and but the fastest components as possible, throw them in a case and power on. Most people leave it at that and think they have built the fastest PC money can buy. I myself are taking it a step further and are going to see if I can produce a car which not only I can use as a respectable daily driver but also will hold its own at pod. I know what all the stock times are and Iam not really interested. I also know that I have no chance in hell beating Chris unless he makes a mistake but Iam planning on it to be close.

 

Most parts I use will be modified stock N/A parts, the plan is to try and produce this car at as little expense as possible by removing metal and not adding it . The engine will be re-mapped to allow for this of course.

 

What R your thoughts....

You want to speak to jock he had the fastest NA I know off on the board without running NOS etc his dyno figures at the rear wheels were only a few BHP from some of the turbos last year at thor

The car as far as I know never went down the strip so could not tell you , pck got all his power from a chip and advanced timing along with induction and exhaust there was not really much more power that could have been gained without spending silly money on lighter components like flywheel and pully etc , NOS was his next mod before he decided to get a proper car .......... :x: a TT

Anyways as soon as I can clear the 2 cars I have left in stock, Iam shutting up shop for a few months.

I have just replaced my NA with a TT and never really gave my NA any stick by booting it - with the way the Market is at the moment - I will probably still have it by the time this happens so I'd like to give them both a run up the strip to see how much is car and how much is driver skill...

 

Out of interest - How fast was your 0 -60 time in your NA and what was the difference over the 1/4 mile between the 2 cars?

you launched it wrong, it was slippery for us both and my clutch is fooked as you well know. Pod is all bout the launch bud

why not do what john dixon is doing and whack a v8 n/a in there dave
