Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining your BB. I am off the 200sx BB as i currently own one but i am thinking of buying a ZX. Could you guys give me any pointers, like what to look out for etc?

I will be looking to buy a twin turbo manual.

P.S Thanks for the cd's for the 300ZX whoever you are.

My girlfriend's mum's boyfriend (do you understand that if not tough) bought a SX just as I decided I was getting the ZX.

"ZX what do YOU want a ZX for?"

You could just see the jealously killing him

Cheers guys. Any idea what these monster cars do on the old MPG front?

Not a lot i would imagine.

I got an insurance quote today and they said it would cost me £1400 for the year, fully comp, protected no claims and legal fees, not as bad as i expected really.

Having never been in a Z i can only imagine the sort of power they must have but if i did i KNOW it would make me want one.

What's this FAST Cd btw Senna?

if you're refering to fuel economy, we've pulled genenerally aroudn 20-25mpg, which is not too shabby for a 300hp demon wink.gif

very cool name he he youll have the woman falling over you.

I dont know how you guys work out mpg (why you cant just go metric is beyond me ) but last week i put 60 litres optimax and managed 340 miles .So thats not that bad.

fantastic cars to own, really nice and they go so well when your moving upwards of third or 4th gear.

300Z, I'm impressed - 420bhp at the wheels and 26mpg. You must surely be driving like a grannie to get that mpg. Is it true or are you doing 340kms on your 60 litres making more like 16mpg!

Willie

Hmmmm, that sounds damn good for a 300bhp beasty. My 200sx only does around 20ish to the gallon and that is only 220bhp and a 1.8L!!!!!!

thats a good question lol. Nah i drove up to duffmans place which is 270 miles and i still drove to southport and back, and it had 340 but i drove like a girl going up there. my car has always seemed very good on a tank of juice. at motorway speeds. But around town i get about 260 miles to a tank

My 300 from what I can remmeber, last time I drove it was August. Best was 28 mpg, worst 22mpg before it went pants it was doing 24 mpg.

I have a 200sx (doing 31 mpg) at the mo, makes a great daily driver. I would advise keeping your 200 and having the 300 for the weekends, or showing off at 200 meets.

I'll go with Warren, Birds love the 300. Although my missus prefers the 200 sadly, probably cos they cost peanuts to run compared with the Z.

Nother tip, if you get a Z get it modded strait away. Your 220 bhp 200sx will feel faster upto 80mph. You do get a nice God like feeling being in the Z though. Climate control is great in the summer or pop off those t-tops.

I think the mileometer isn't altered when you change an import speedo to mph, therefore it still reads in kms.

I thought the fuel consumption on my car was too good to be true!

JEZ

Start planning your trips in the Zed via petrol stations, but what the hell!! its just another stop so people can actually see the Zed without it being a blurr!!!

You feel like a legend driving a Zed. Not because you are a legend, it's just people look at you as if you're from the planet legend.

I know what I mean LOL smile.gif
