Video Game Audio Recording Session - Non-Turbo 300zx Wanted

Hi,

My name is Damian and I work for THQ, a video game publisher currently working on the car modification racing game Juiced. To help us accurately mimic in-game audio we are looking to source a Non-Turbo 300zx for a recording session to held on the 4th-5th of January at MIRA facility in Warwickshire (http://www.mira.co.uk).

If you would be interested in allowing us to record your car, meet the criteria below and would like further information please send me a Private Message ASAP. Please can you also include in your PM what mods you have and roughly how long it would take you to get to MIRA.

Criteria for selection:

• To be available to attend a recording session in Warwickshire on the 4th or 5th January. Preferably local.

• We are specifically looking for a modified car preferably with after-market exhaust or at least a de-cat pipe.

• After-market induction kit

Anyone chosen to take part will have all expenses paid for during the day, including the cost of fuel to and from the venue. The owner will also receive a finished copy of the game upon release on the format of their choice and also credit within the game itself.

Thanks in advance

Damian

hello mate,

you can't receive PMs so its best someone replies on this thread or e-mails you,

and why not a TT? i'd love to put my name down for that ;)

I'd put my name down for that too! TT with GReddy Zorsts, Decat and other Mods :D

You cant recieve PMs mate.

I have an NA and meet nearly all your criteria! I live a fair bit away (Fife), but would love to make the journey to help you out. Its a fairly modded NA, but standard exhaust. Tell you what. If you go halfers, i'll get a full system.

Let me know

Scott

I've played juiced, the game is crap, cars handle so bad, ok the customising bit good, but gameplay is no where near burnout 3 or NFU 2

I can't send PMs either, and can't find any contact info on THQ's site :'(

I'd love to be involved! Have a SWB NA, with two 3.5" SS Apexi backboxes, and it sounds awesome :) Doesn't have an induction kit tho... only mod so far is the zorst :(

I'm in Nottm, so fairly local.. would take less than an hour to get to Warwickshire (not checked out Mira yet, so that's an approx), and I'm free 4th Jan ALL DAY! :o Also free on the 5th til late afternoon :P

Mail me if ya see this :) baby_ice_dog.at.hotmail.com

Well everyone knows the NA sounds better so thats obviously why :hyper: I have an NA with Kakimoto race exhausts and Blitz induction but im in Ipswich, if you cant find anyone more suitable I would love to help.

I be honest, when at the Thor RR, the NA cars did sound a lot more V6'y

Sorry I've been out of the office for a couple of days so havent had a chance until now to follow up my post. Not sure why I cant receive PM's so I will contact those who have shown interest shortly.

The reason why we want a NA car is that is the car we have licensed in-game. There are options in the modifaction section to add a turbo to your car and its easy for us to handle the sound this way round rather than recording a TT and then trying to filter out the turbo sound!

As for the 'Juiced is crap' comment, we have taken a lot of steps to improve the games handling since its original review. This recording is part of that process, to improve on a game that had already reviewed well (between 7 and 9 out of 10 in many cases) and to make it better.

cheers

ok dude look forward to the new version then :nelson: , only thing that got me is you start off with a 1.2 corsa aahhh CHAV alert :slap:

thought the colours you can have were good, some flip paint, not too sure about the bling blink intro with the dancing, did make me laugh, driving games need some ROCK

I have a manual N/A with an after market decatted S/S exhaust with quad tips. About to fit an after market induction kit and I live in Yorkshire.

The car is a daily driver and IMHO sounds great (some of the neighbours don't agree tho'). Would like to bo considered for this unique opportunity.
