I did it, you just need double jointed everything, small spanners and lots of patience

let us know how you go mate

I got some chrome spray from B&Q that Im thinking of doing this too.

That combined with MY HID's means Ill have light :)

Jay,

Do you know, is the chrome spray heat resistant?

Does it need to be?

I havent checked to see how much heat is generated by the lights... I guess HIDs should run cooler as they run lower wattages?????

Will you use any special primer to ensure it bonds to the plastic

Again, do you need any?

Sounds like a damn good idea... I too have a set of HIDs coming from Mark at outlander, - I was thinking of taking the lamps apart to clean and possibly colour code, but the chrome might be a better idea.....

Ok, guys. Removed the headlights...what a ******* job that was!

Put 'em in the oven for 10-15mins to release the bitumen stuff.

They came apart really easy after that, have painted the base

coat (4 coats yellow), just gotta apply the pearl laquer, hopefully

tomorrow, then put 'em back in!

Will get some pics up for you to see as soon as it's done..... :)
