Thought I would try out the DIY 99-spec style rear lights.

Did the whole putting them in the oven to heat them up for seperating..... hands are now burned and sore, but got there in the end.

That Black tar stuff gets everywhere !

Ended up taking about 4 hours total in the end :( , as had loads of problems seperating them, and then getting them back together again.

Pleased with it, massive improvement over the orange lenses. :)

Awesome job mate! Looks brilliant!

How did you do this? Did you use any guides from here?

Really big improvement I agree!

:D Good job mate.... Must say they doo look better clear.....

I must get some clear defuser and get this done, as I don't think I've got a chance of finding a set of OEM 99 lenses real cheap! And I mean CHEAP, as I've spent far too much recentley :D

Nice job mate looks good , i was lucky mine already had genuine 99 spec lihgts already fitted when i bought it

By the way a good way of getting the sealer off is to peel a large lump of the sealer off, roll into a ball then using this just push it into the sealer on the light or rear panel and pull it off at a backwards angle , it sticks to it and pulls the remaining sealer off .

Sounds a bit daft but it does work. :)

Excellent job - I've got a spare set of lights from Stevo to do the same thing but it won't be until into the New Year now!!!!!

yes mate, well done - I done the same - well chuffed - makes hell of a difference dont it :)
