Pint of Stella (or similar) is more like 2.5 units (or a bit more).

 

Large glass of wine is 2.

 

Double spirit is 2.

 

Basically 1 unit is 1 litre of 1% alcohol (or 100ml of 10% alcohol).

 

So .. be honest ... how much booze do you drink a week?

:rofl: My boss left at 3pm - there was never going to be a chance to see that. Last year my old boss got booted out of the roughest pub in town for throwing his beer over another manager which was quite funny.

 

At my the year before last work Christmas do my boss got properly pissed.

 

I had to go and drag him out of the toilets and stick him in a cab.

 

When I opened the toilet door he was sitting on the pan moaning with his pants round his ankles full of his own vomit!

 

He'd hurled all over himself and had to pretty much climb into the sink to clean himself up before he left (this was in the Grovesnor House Hotel, Park Lane).

 

Have to say I kind of resepct him for that.

its normally a can of Fosters when i get in from work, followed by one or two mudshakes (flavoured vodka, but thicker than bacardi breezer b0ll0x), with perhaps a nightcap of a shot of whisky.

Just got in from a heavy night on the town met a bird got talking and i said I was into cars, she said what do you drive? I allways say a 300zx twin turbo, because as soon as you say a nissan they alsways think of a micra/cherry or some crap like that :x:

she said a nissan 300 yer I know lovely car i worked for them, so may be getting a discount on me bits in exchange for servicing hers :D

Sure have , very hard to get hold of good Absinth in the UK and you have to burn it with sugar or it tastes like crap

Absinth is wrong bought some in ibiza it leaves an after taste like fluff in the back of your throat :x: had more fun setting fire to it

 

There are a lot of coctails to do not just the shot with the sugar, that became very famous as Johny Depp did it in a movie

I've got some of the 'proper' stuff here...... Hills Absinth Establisded 1920 in Jindrichuv Hradec - 70% (with a picture of Napoleon on it!?!?) . I'd love to tell you more, but the label is all in Czech and my little Czech nursey friend is on her hols so I can't get a translation.

Thats the stuff could'nt remember if it was 70 or 80% proof theres two types they sell one over here think is about 50 but is a load of crap!

I thinks it causes black outs hellusinations (fook no's how to spell that) and other usefull symtoms like that will def make you :hurl:

probs only any good as an octain booster :D

Nah mate, 70% is lightweight stuff! :eek: I've got some Polish vodka called Polmos Spirytus Rektyfikowany and its 95% :eek: :eek: :shock: :bow: So strong it's best to mix it the night BEFORE you drink it!

Right now I am going for the Holsten Pils cure ...

 

Ten pints at least ... Only on #7 at the mo though ... Maybe a bit of Sabrano to wash it down ...

it's not the percentage that makes it strong it's the herbs they put inside

Been off on the company Xmas party for a couple days (so am just catching up on old posts).

 

It was up in York.......nice place. They laid on a silly treasure hunt in the town centre, so if you were in York yesterday and kept bumping into groups of idiots wandering around looking confused and clutching bright blue draw-string bags-----sorry. Actually it turned into a bit of a pub crawl so it was quite a laugh really.

 

Just checked both the bottle of Absinth and the nutter vodka, the Absinth is 70% BY VOLUME ALC and the vodka is 95% ALC/VOL :tongue: :tongue:

Yeah and I checked my cans of Strongbow last night and each can is 2.7 units apparently. ;)

The worst drink I have ever drank has to be tequila and chilli powder shots it was a place called the Water front in or just outside Birmingham we only done them to get a free hat, i could not catch me breath then had to neck a pint to cool the burning was fooking wrong :hurl: :hurl: :hurl:
