I used to trust paypal, but after my latest debacle I wouldn't. I just got crap automated replies back when I tried to complain :( Please contact the seller etc etc etc I couldn't get a hold of him... just gave up and pursued the money by other means!

Absolute nightmare trying to get a human response.

I must confess Scoops, i've used paypal for over 6 years and only been duped once, the amount was over 400 quid like :( however it has been useful as sooo many peeps have it and i buy + sell worldwide, so can't be too bad, like any of the others around, luck of the draw mate :)

cheers

I've always had no probs with paypal - I think when selling reasonably small items the risk of being duped is outweighed by the flexibility and extra market you have access to :)

However I don't know if I'd accept the risk for expensive items like Smithy sells, turbos, clutches etc.

The high charges mount up though, they must rake it in

I dont know much about he rest, but we use worldpay and its not bad. They do go down from time to time-normally when they get a denial of serive attack, but generally they are good and you get an email saying if any part of the details are not matched so good for detecting fraudsters. We had a bit of trouble at first trying to get them to deal with us as we didnt have any previous accounts to show.
