Well, after a lot of hard work I have found someone who will provide me a KOYO rad for £230.00

It is a lottery on the import tax though ... but worth trying

Going to give it a go.

Just thought I would share this with you guys.

Hi Chris,

The only problem with that is if it goes missing, the insurance won't be for the full amount :(

see your point guys.

I will have a think on it. I certainly don't want to lose out if it does go missing.

Just get them to write GIFT on it in huge writting - and tell them not to put their name all over the packaging. You will not pay tax and can insure it to any value their end

Not true

Doesnt matter what it is, if the value is over £18 your fooked.

Ive never been charged tho mate ! Coilovers, rads braces for my ITR - all with no tax

Unless i was just very lucky

fair play to you

£18 is the official limit tho

You need to get a contact in your local post office, as they can just take the parcel off the shelf if it has been stopped for tax reasons. Thats why im glad my bro works there :p

I guess it depends on how savvy the people sorting the parcels are. The HID kit I ordered from the States cost me just under £200 including delivery but I evaded all import duties as the supplier kindly (and completely without prompting) wrote it down as a "Lamp Toy Gift" in the space for the description. To the untrained eye, even if they opened it, a description like that could be believable! But it still boils down to luck in the end. :)
