Anyone fitted a catflap? (to their door, not car!)

Mrs Craig David wants a cat.

Is it easy to fit a catflap?

Our (terraced, estate) house is quite new and the door seems to made from metal as well as wood / wood substitute - perhaps UPVC or something like that???? A magnet sticks to it.

Any idea how easy it would be to fit a cat flap?

A peice of cake mate :D

All you need is an electric drill, with a decent size bit in it, and a jig saw, with a suitable blade (steel type)

Mark dimensions (a template should come with it), drill hole/s, insert jig saw and cut hole out. fix both sides of the flap plate, and screw tight, then seal outside with silicone sealant (sod what the instructions say ;) )

Test by pushing cat through (may need persuading ;) ) and thats the job done.

HTH :D

well ... we all know Andy likes catflaps but I am sure that is a different story!!

I fiited one in my external door but it was glass so not too hard TBH...

Sorry I couldn't help more mate

You don't need a cat flap, cats can teleport - fact!

One second the cat is there the next second it is not - only possible explanation when you look at the facts!

The neighbours cat kept shyting in my garden too until I put down some chemical stuff from the garden centre.

I thought 'how can I learn them?' and thought about getting bees.

Imagine if they were having a BBQ or something and my 20,000 bees went over to their garden.

But don't mind really... I love animals .... especially when it's really cold. ;)

I love animals too !!!!, cows, sheep, chickens yep i love to eat them all

mmm steak pie, lamb chops, chicken tikka masala :) :) :)

bout the cat flap. youve got to remember the finishing touch!, a wire trace bout three feet long coiled into a noose and dangled over the outside exit from the flap and staked securely into the ground (always got to be on the outside unless your prepared to renew your hall carpet and wall paper)
