£3500 'worth' of escort once.

How much ££ have you had off insurers in written-off cars in total and how many totalled? I wonder who has the best and worst record, bike and/or car.

When I was 17 I wrote off my Rover 3.5 ltr in a spectacular doghnuting crash off a roundabout - taking two other cars with me which were both parked some 100yds along the road. Completely lost it and spun for ages before coming to a rest. Worst part was that one of the parked cars had a couple necking in it. Actually the worst part was probably having to slap my girlfriend who was screaming and wouldn't let go of the dash and get out of the smoking car.

I can't remember what the bill came to but it was probably about £2k old money :D

12 ESCORTS!!!! :D :D

Positively a service to society then  ;)

Hee hee. It was only one. But 'valued' at £3500. I wont say how much more than that I actually paid for it. I used to think it was a fantastic car!

renault 19 16v 5 grand

VW passat TD 6 grand

nissan silvia 1 grand

and I think thats it! bloody irresponsible little tyke I was, much more sensible now. the passat was only a couple of years ago, wasnt really my fault, bit of a flood didnt look too deep, turned out to be about 2 foot deep, oops. apparently diesels dont much like being filled with water....

I managed to completely lower the front end of my Cavalier. Hit this rover so hard up the back that the Cav scopped under and lifted the rover off the ground. My cav looked like concord with the drop nose.

 A 15k 911 Lux  The bad news was Norwich Union did not pay up as I did not have a cat one installed  I said I crashed it and it had not been stolen ! They said look at the small print and sod off ! Don't use Norwich Union anymore

Two WRX scoobies this year: one at £6k and one at £6.8K - crashed the first one (4 days old  , still had the Jap tyres and I had just discovered they go sideways much better than forward... err it didn't end well!) and the second was stolen a month and a half ago, recovered but insurance wrote it off. But that gave the chance to own a Z :hyper: :hyper:

£3500 Renault Clio 16v (in 1998) (ins company way undervalued it  )

£4500 Toyota Celica GT4 Carlos Sainz (in 1999)

Clio was third partys fault

The GT4 was techically my fault, I clipped a kerb at 50mph, nothing serious, but the wheel shattered into pieces !! (it had spent 2 weeks beng modified to fit car, and must of seriously weakened it), causing me to hit lampost and then land sideways in ditch.

Reversed a Mondeo back, rear door opened, hit another car as I reversed, twisted b + A pillar of my car and tore the side out of the one the door hit,

front door popped open and got mangled too,,,,,spectacular sound, about 10 k of damage to both...hahahahaha

£4600 mazda 323 fastback went round a blind corner doing 80mph straight into rear of an audi coupe, doh! what a mess, but the funny thing was i was cought speeding 113mph due in court 4th nov and managed to write the car off on 3rd nov the day before, just as well cos i had a 3week ban and £300 fine longest 3weeks of my life :nelson:
