I have the headlamps off the car, and have dismantled one. In your write up you do not mention the aluminium sheet that goes around the dip beam unit. Is this the same chrome foil or something else you used?

Hi coogs, good fun getting the light out eh?

Don`t worry about the aluminium sheet I tried to be clever on that one and found by testing one with one without that the focus of the beam was to a little too restrictive so a have back tracked on that, hence not in write up.As a point I mentioned to Danny today that the difference in light output performance has taken me by surprise even last night I had a call to make in the dark and actually found myself going the "darker" way on purpose,trust in me my son you will be impressed,but don`t forget the 100 watt bulbs and the alignement after which is easily done against a wall or garage doors.
