Spoke to you guyZ about a knocking noise. Turned out it was the center bearing on the drive shaft. My local garage fitted a new one, changed the break fluid and checked the break system all for the great price of £262 including VAT. Did a great job and was chuffed to bits to work on, as he said it "a fantastic car". Is good when a mechaninc gets a little pleasure from his work.

what were your symptonms cause i suspect i have that aswell, slithg vibration when car is cold

rapid knocking when i accelerated hard or going fast arround bends. Centre bearing was fucked but no damage to drive shaft (thank fuck). Bearing itself was actually o.k but the rubber surround was perished and not holding it in place so it was spinning unsupported.

 

Get it checked the car sure runs smoother now.
