I've seen this on other Zeds when looking to buy, so Im guessings its a common problem.

At the very top of the Dash, where it meets the Window Air vents the dash has lifted up/come away from where it should sit.

I have tried to fix it, but its in a very awkward position and I coud'nt see how to remove the Window air vents.

Its not really noticable from inside, but from the outside its ugly, as you can see the brown insulation and undertrim.

Has anybody else fixed theirs, and have any tips ?

used about 2 tubes of evo stick, and lots and lots and lots of patience!!! because of the angle of the screen its hard to wedge something in there to hold the dash down while the glue sets... so ended up doing most of it by hand!! :(

mine is about 90% stuck down now, couple of bits still poking up but much better than it was, just needs another tube of glue and a spare hour to do it!!!!

Thats the one .. I had to do this and I found it a complete PITA.

Yeah, but just take your time and it's ok. Plus you get to pick off all that glue from your fingers for HOURS after! :D Not as fun as good old COPYDEX :hyper:

i used gaffa tape to hold it down, until the glue went off. took the vent covers out first.

about 98% stuck, looks alot better

I read someone popped their front screen out when doing this so be careful!!

Who did sell that kit for this?

Thanks Rob, and as said - from The Z Centre, IIRC they are about £290 + lights + vat. No skirts, I did have the stone gaurd sh1t taken off and smoothed though, which sometimes gives the illusion of having skirts.

The link below shows links to how to repair a "peeled up" dashboard

However, there is so little room to work I tried small brushes and sticks to apply the glue but the best method turned out to be my 'index finger' suitably covered in contact adhesive!

I then found that the dashboard would not stick without continued pressure.

An easy solution is to buy some sturdy paper clips approximately 1.5cm x 3cm (see photos) before you start. They can be quickly fitted in the small space to hold the dash firmly together whilst the glue sets.

After a couple of hours they can be removed and the dash gradually regains its shape.

Job done.

Martin
