Price to fit tyres?

Anyone have a clue what a tyre fitting place is going to charge to fit a pair of tyres if you buy them elsewhere mail order? I would imagine they are not going to do you any favours if you didn't buy the tyres from them.

Have found a very cheap place on the internet.

Thanks,

Most places are not like that.

If they are unwilling to put them on even though you didnt get it through them, they are not worth wasting the time on.

I would say about £10-£15 per tyre including balancing.

Normally they are happy to charge for the valve and balancing, it's all good gross profit for them.

If its gonna cost me as much as £15 per corner I reckon this place might not be the cheapest option. Nevermind, worth a shot.

I think most garaged actually charge less for fitting if you buy from them.

I bought 2 rear tyres which and fitted for just over £250. Mytyres.net where cheaper but add the charge for fitting and it would have been dearer.

I know the local tyre shop I go to charge £6 for balance probably, £2 for valve, £2 for fitting and £1-2 to dispose of the old tyre.

But I think they only charge £4-6 for fitting tyres you buy from them.

Got my local Kwick-Fit to fit mine, at £9 per corner all in, well happy with that.

Valve, balance, took off the car and re-fitted.

My local does it for £10.00 a pair, all in, for CASH, it goes in the fitters pockets, try and miss the owner/boss.
