I have a Clifford 600 concept alarm on the Z and i don't know if it is causing my problems. The door open light on the dash stays on all the time and my central locking on the passenger door will not work, has to be locked manually. Now I have got in the car and the road angel, which is wired to the car(not through cigarette lighter), is not getting power, my head unit has no power and the warning noise for leaving the lights on is not working. The clifford is giving warning signals that a door is open and it isn't. Please can anyone help with this prob???????????????

Tried to manually push in the door pin on passenger door but the light on the dash stays on

Have you checked all your fuses?? Especially the ones by the throttle pedal. My dash was posessed and found one of my fuses were blown, replaced it and hey presto!!!

Good luck :p

We may be on to something now

Just checked and none of the interior lights are working, where abouts is the fuse kept for the interior lights?????????????????????????

Hi,

If you check your fusebox by the throttle pedal, I think you willl find it is the bottom left hand fuse that is blown. The interior light circuit also feeds the solonoid for the door locks, which is located behind rear passenger trim.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for that Chris, should have read that 5 mins earlier. Just removed third from left on bottom and then dropped it into car bodywork. Ooops, just sent my hubby back out into the cold to try again

OK, new update. The fuse was blown and so also are the 2 new ones that we have tried to replace them with. Any ideas why the fuses may be blowing????????????????? This Z is very annoying at times

I am really not electrically minded I'm afraid. It could be a loose wire causing a short somewhere. I had this problem with my lights circuit after some idiot ran wires across the exhausts for the rear repeaters.

I did hear something about the lights circuit can be mistaken for an earth wire as it is the same colour but not sure if that is even relevant. Sorry couldn't be of more help. Sure someone will be able to offer a better suggestion though. Good Luck.

i had this problem on my 200sx, turned out to be a loose wire on the back of the stereo, if thats any help.

does the fuse blow straight away with the ignition off??

the clifford will think the doors open if the dash light is on

or if an interior light is on, who hard wired the road angel? could be a fault there, has someone just searched for a live and wired into it?

also check if it has been fitted with an inline fuse,

personnally i would remove the road angel and the stereo, and see what you get, then if ok refit them
