Off to the doctors in a bit to see the smoking nurse. Dont know what the script is with her like but a few people have been to her and they are all still not smoking after 3 months.

Looking forward to saving myself

Very best of luck to you mate!! I must get around to giving up myself (I'm spending a similar amount to you every month :( ) If it works out for you please let us know how you get on (if it's not too 'painful' to discuss when your are gagging for a ciggie!)

Fingers crossed! :)

Good luck mate, I hope it works out for you!!

good luck mate im in the middle of giving up :(

cold turkey just chewing gum not nicotein flavoured either ;) even if you go back and smoke a cig again, the longer you keep leaving it the more you realise how fkin horrible it is

Zyban works - FACT! ;)

It actually started off life as an anti-depressant but the people taking it found that it really stopped them wanting to smoke too - so they fine tuned it.

I gave up ciggys (roll-ups) after 15 years and went onto pipes and cigars. It was quite an easy transition and I soon gave up inhaling. Now I can go weeks without a smoke and not miss it (apart from the flavours), and I've stopped wheezing every time I walk up the stairs too :)

A mate of mine went to Hypnotherapy and it worked for him.
