RPM Limit problem

Hope someone can help.

I have a problem where the power seems to peek at about 6000 rpm then it drops before reaching 7000.

Is this normal ? Am I normal ?

Are you running standard boost? What ecu are you running?

There is a limiter on 7000RPM..To remove it you need another ECU.

JWT moves the limiter to 7200RPM and with 555 injectors to 7500RPM.

If you move more than that then you might blow up the engine.

That is probably fairly normal. Peak torque would be around that area and drop off towards the redline. Peak power will be a little higher. Shown most clearly on a dyno of course.

Check your air filter and fuel filter, if you havent changed them recently (or never!) then try that, a blockage in either will cause a sudden drop in power that can feel like a rev limiter effect.

The car is completely standard, as far as I know. I just find it strange that the power dropped below 6000 rpm.

Or above 6000 rpm even !
