it was a great line up in '87, but the quality of p!ss throwing was much better in 1988 , by this time people had mastered the art of making the open bottle spin as it flew thru the air!

Right, I'm absolutely usless with dates/years - but in order of appearance:-

Metallica at N.E.C.

Metallica at Wembley

Metallica/Megadeth at Milton Keynes

Metallica at N.E.C.

Eminem/Xzibit/D12/Cypress Hill at Milton Keynes (Cypress Hill rocked!)

Linkin Park/Lost Prophets at Wembley Arena

I likes me metal, but don't get out that much!!;)

(Plus I've been dragged to 2 Robbie gigs by my Sister :mac1: )

Hopefully going to see Embrace on their next tour next year.

went to many gigs ala rock gods....madien, crue etc during the 80's...at the same time got into the whole hip-hop def jam mixing bit...missed Fresh 87 for those who know...but saw the first ever def jam tour...ll cool j, beastie boys (pre licensed to ill) whodini and run dmc...later on jungle brothers mantronix and ice t...still kept up with the rock gigs..stood me good for working in music publishing a few years later

maddest thing i recall was a band who had a dwarf for a singer who was tossed into the drum kit as an encore during the seventh son maiden tour and the sight of tommy lee in his mobile drum kit....anyone seen the school of rock film yet...?

Smashing Pumpkins last London gig

Was there as well! :D Crackin' gig, with the band actually enjoying themselves on stage (better than at the NEC on the Mellon Collie Tour).

TBH I've lost track of the gigs I've been to but here are a few (in no particular order) that for better or for worse stand out:

Pulp

Kenickie

The Levellers

The Dharmas

Radiohead

REM

U2 (several times)

Garbage

Placebo (several times)

Suede (several times including the supposed farewell gigs in London)

Manic Street Preachers

GLC (terrible but p1ssed myself laughing!)

Goldfrapp

Massive Attack

Black Grape (very funny watching Kermit ask the crowd for drugs, proceed to neck at least 3 tablets of unknown substances then loudly keep proclaiming throughout the gig, "I'm going, I'm going!" Lol!)

The Wonderstuff (original line up and "comeback" tour...second one, not so good...)

G3 this year at the NIA...JD if you're reading this, Lucie still hasn't forgiven you for having to sit through the travesty that was Robert Fripp! Lol! ;)

Over the years...

Reading 95, - cant even remember

Reading 96, - Soundgarden, mudhoney, etc etc.

Sunstroke Dublin 94, 95, 96.- soundgarden, mudhoney, helmet, ice cube, chilis,

O2 in the park 04, - pixies, groove armada, chilis.

Download festival 04, - metallica, korn, slayer, slipknot, soulfly,

Over the years at a number of gigs:

Korn, ministry, slayer, machine head, prodigy, pantera, dead kennedys, sepultura, soundgarden, pavement, pitchshifter, and.....cannibal corpse.

Bit of a metal head really.

Kersh.

Eminem

Xzibit

D12

Cypress Hill

:D:D

gangstar baby, cypress hill my favorite.

Yeah, cypress hill are the nuts, saw them at glasto while stoned off my tits, passed out shortly after hits from the bong, gutted...

Bl00dy hell, right bunch of Dirty Heads you lot! Good job AdamR isn't here, he'd no doubt be in the mosh pit. :D

I'm a right Dirty Metal head, I used to have long hair just down past my waist until 2 years ago, Kersh you have good taste in music my man.

Not quite wot u asked but i,m off to see Thunder at Rock City on the 22nd of december :hyper: 38 years old and going to my first gig , i have led a sheltered life ,I,d do a bit of head banging but going by my user name i think u can guess y i won,t be

Just seen Thunder, Frampton and Deep Purple at the SEC ! :hyper:

Caught Purple with Lynyrd Skynyrd about the same time last year too.

I am 42  and my 1st gig was Status Quo at the Glasgow Apollo in 76.

AC/DC 5 times, Sabbath 3 times, Floyd 3 times including a sleep over at Earls Court train station coz we were too drunk to make the tube back to Euston in 79 or 80 I think !!

Got a kicking at the Wheels of Steel tour by Saxon from a few bikers from Lossiemouth ! :mac1: Met the wife at a Whitesnake gig in 81,

Loads of others, Gillan, Tygers Of Pantang, Krokus, Uriah Heep, Molly Hatchet,

U2, Bonnie Raitt, Rainbow and others I have forgotten. Favourite has too be Motorhead !! Lemmy is an eedjit !! Pure class. Yes, if you havent seen Rock School, watch it !! Brilliant, and if you dont pull out your old AC/DC album to re-listen too "its a long way to the top if you wanna R`N`R" at the end of the film, you are strange.

Going to Jools Holland on Dec 10th...

Alan.....
