Hallo boys and girls - I am having problems with setting up a form on Dreamweaver. My hosting company has descended into tech gibberish and a couple of hours googling has given me double-vision and a headache.

If there is anyone out there who knows how to setup a form in Dreamweaver to email details and also how to setup my test website so I can test this before I upload it, please pm or email. The Great Zed Buddha will surely bless you :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

Because the hoster said that they had already installed Jmail and ASPemail on their servers so all I had to do was wibble-gibberish-blah.

And when you go and have a look at Macromedia's help / support it says this is easy and then repeats the wibble-gibberish-blah in a patronising American accent. grrrrr

Dreamweaver is supposed to be able to do this sort of thing and I am trying to keep things as simple as poss - i.e. just using built-in stuff rather than kludging together a script from here, a bit of html from there etc etc

But I shall toddle off and have a look.... ta

windows hosting?

*shudder*

aspmail is prone to hiccups, i've never used jmail though

i use dotnetnuke...cool web building thingy so easy even a 9 year old could use it...used to be a fan of dreamweaver but saw the light....:)

Here is an example form and asp code to email the form's data. You can add as many form elements as you like and all the data will be sent. You just need to fill in the to and from email addresses (use valid ones have know this to cause problems). I have used this script for many years and works well as long as the CDO object is stable on the host.

Good luck!
