Split Bush...fnnarr?

Passenger side front wheel (forgive description in advance)

Metal bar connecting hub area to body of car (not track rod end bit) in front of wheel.

The bit that connects to chassis has rubber bush insert. This is split (only a bit).

Can this be a DIY job, getting the bar off looks simple then maybe take it somewhere for the bush to be put it? Does that sound feasible? Do you have to do both sides at the same time? Can these be uprated and is this a good investment?

Many thanks as always

Sounds like the tension rod bush to me.

This can be DIY but you need to be able to get the car far enough off the ground and it's done up TIGHT.

Several places sell replacement bushes (Courtesy, Z Centre) and there are also places which replace the rod with a new one with rose jointed end (SE, Stillen etc), guess this will add some precision, but make the feel a little harsher.

Standard Nissan parts cost ~£120 each !

Cheers for info...will go down the DIY route me thinks!!
