Boost Problem???

run my Jap Spec TT Man with JWT and 12.5psi all good. Went on rolling road and was informed that my mixture was a little rich. decided to up the boost a little more with different boost jets. Now boosts round to 15psi and then bounces between 12.5 and 15 psi.

Power feels flat when this happens and can hear a hissing sound... i am sure it is a boost leak but if i hold the power at 4k car seems to stutter a little.

Also tried gently bringing on the power and boosts to 15psi until about 4.5k then seems to start bouncing again between 12.5 and 15psi.

ANY IDEAS PLEASE..???

Spec:

JWT, Boost Jets, HKS Intake, Trust Back Boxes, DeCat, HKS BlowOffs, Manual

ok, 1st: just because you increase the boost doesnt mean the mixture will lean out. as it injects a given amount of fuel for the mass of air flow. (tho it will prob lean out at the end of the scale if the injectors cant keep up!)

2nd, you need a boost leak detector ©Vijay ;)

3rd, with boost jets, the higher (peak) pressure you run, the more drop you may see. these are known as boost spikes.
