i have a 1993 t/t z32. I have not changed the exhaust yet due to the prone oil seals on the turbo and at the mo cant afford new turbo's!! I will get round to it soonish though when i have a spare 2k. I want to know if i can chip the car with a JWT in the mean time to improve the car even though the standard exhaust + turbo's are still on. :hyper:

Stand to be corrected here but should think with a JWT you will need air filter and preferably a sports exhaust too, cos the JWT tends overfuel would have thought needing better airflow would be a requirement to have that perticular chip?

As a say I'm not too sure so will more than likely be corrected on this.

and you still need the boost jets or a controller to up the wastegate pressure otherwise all you will get from the JWT is the extra fuelling at the top end without the boost pressure to give the air to use it

Apart from the fact that the JWT is set for european fuel as oposed to Jap.

I too stand to be corrected (as always :)) but the ECU only knows you have better air flow because of the MAS/ MAF so if the air flow is not there the ecu will still attempt the same air fuel ratio as the chip designates. So more air will not mean a leaner mixture, it will just mean a greater volume of the same mixture, or else everyone who put on an air filter without a chip would run massively lean, and that aint the case. Also, iirc, Karlos has an air filter fitted.

so i could get Ryan at ZTEch to put the chip and boot jets in and that will be ok?? Does that mean it will be spec'd for uk fuel also??

Also what increase do u think i should get in bhp and torque ft lbs??

Ryan did mine for me mate, jwt & 1mm boost jets, running

12.5 psi. Would opt for boost jets as opposed to a controller(imho)

You will need the car conzult'ed first to make sure there are

no probs before you up the boost etc... Ryan can see to this too.

why go for the boost jet's as to the controller. want to do the same to mine as karlogs. dont you have more control with a controller as to what boost your running?.

If using a boost controller, the car loose's the ability to

go into safety boost (detonation etc...), with jets this is

still enabled, thats my reason, oh & jets cost about 10p

controllers cost £200+ ;)

Go for a Mines ECU with 1mm boost jets thats the way to go dude...

With stock turbos, Catylic Converters and stock exhaust all still in place you will achieve 13-13.5psi with a Mines ECU and Boost jets.
