Still not working :mac1:

MS may have blocked your ISP's IP address range if it was being DDoS'd from that range of IP's - who you with?

Try renewing the IP on your modem/router

I seem to recollect that sometime soon Hotmail is being blocked from Outlook/Outlook Express, so you'll actually have to visit the site to read the mail, unless you pay something. Anyone confirm this is correct ?

still works via my outlook, but not via outlook express (my ver of outlook is 2003)

Still wont work, does anyone have a clue whats going on?:(:(:(

I'd say your account is well and truly b0rked m8.. Not sure apart from that (all mine appear OK - that's one for each personality ;)) - you could try emailing their customer services people here http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/dasp/ua_info.asp?pg=ar_eform&_lang=EN (was nicely buried in their help ;))..

If you send yourself an email (or get someone else to), does it bounce or appear to get there OK?

you could try logging on through a different portal, ie http://www.hotmail.com or hotmail.co.uk or msn.co.uk etc etc. When i did have a hotmail account this sometimes worked. Have you tried it from a different computer?? could be your computer try deleting all internet history. If none of the above work then contact hotmail directly.

Make your own mind up ....

as a last resort your could try Web2Pop its a program that allows you to configure outlook to check your hotmail account, but my guess is you will have the same probs. Do you pay for your hotmail?? if not then i would suggest upgrading your account by paying the membership fee. Other than that dump hotmail and kick Mr Gates up the ars*

LOL No Matt I have had this account for about four years and got it when it was free, dont get me started with Mr Gates :mac1: :mac1: :mac1: ;)

If you're gonna pay for anything then use Hushmail. I think they also do a free option as well.

That's a bit like gmails "We're going to store your data for as long as we want. Even if you delete it, we'll still keep it. You are agreeing to let us do whatever we want with all your emails including any data contained within them", which is one of the nicest T&C's I've ever read

Suffice to say I only use my hotmail accounts as spam catchers, and gmail for emergencies.. Everything else is SMTP all the way to my little Linux box under the stairs ;)
