Hi all, well, after trying some advice kindly given to me by some of you, I have decided to book my car in at Nisstek to find out what this whining noise is in 1st and 2nd gears. Doesn't happen in 3rd, 4th and 5th so not sure what it is. I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Nisstek in Maldon, Essex? I want to make sure I won't get stitched up as has happened in the past with other cars I've owned.

If you have booked yours in with them, what did you do, leave it with them and they call you before they do anything? I'm a bit nervous about this as it's my "first time" booking the 300 in, and I'm scared they're going to find a million things wrong with it!

Tell me I'm being paranoid :(

to prevent starting a lively discussion, i suggest you do a bit of a search.

Eh? Am I missing something here?

Apparently ;)

Scoops was referring to this:

And suggested you do a search on "Nisstek", since the subject came up only a couple of weeks back - you should find one of the earlier 'lively' discussions regarding their service...

Ah hell, since I'm feeling generous (and since "Nisstek" was spelt wrong in the post you needed to search for ;)), here's a good place to start reading:

A search on "Nisstek", "Nisstech", "SE" and "Silvia Engineering" will probably throw up a few dozen other 'lively' discussions too..

Yeh like most garages theres good news and bad news with them so i suppose its up to you
