The gearstick on my zed noticably moves when I accelerate, is this normal? The only time I have ever seen this before was when I drove a car I had crashed into a kerb and bent the driveshaft on.

Also every now and then when I try to start it, it makes a sound from the starter, the same noise that it would make if you tried to start it and the engine was already running. When it doies do it, it was always does it twice then on the third attempt it starts fine. Anyone else ever had this????

Oh yeah, and does the 'AMB' temperature on my air con signify the outside temperature?

movement on the gearstick suggests shifter bushings ;) cheap to buy ask mike feeney in the traders section fitted them myself need nimble fingers but aint to bad of a job HTH

Cheers mate, thats a bit of a relief, thought it might be the shafts or the box. Any ideas on the other stuff?

Starter motor on it's way,or worse ringear-try another starter first!

And yes AMB is outside temp ;)

ringear - explain????? :)

Ring gear is the cog surrounding the flywheel, the starter moter cog engages with this cog to turn the engine over when you start the car

mabey just loose bell housing bolts an the gearbox is ready to fall off ;)

nothing to worry about then
