Is your Snooper S5 / SLD920 too quiet?

Hi,

I just wondered if anyone else is finding the units to give a warning that is too quiet to be noticed when you have the stereo on (fairly quiet also!). My pervious SRD3000 was the reverse, loud!

I'm going to phone performance one tomorrow who make the units) to see if they can suggest any modification.

I have snooper s5 and find if I have on my Stereo (even fairly quiet) the Snooper is useless and I cant hear it wibble at all frown.gif

Mine is mounted center windscreen and so noticing it change display is not going to happen either.

Bloody annoying as the two things I enjoy most in my Zed are loud music and travelling 'around' 100mph.

If you find out if they can be cranked up let me know too Jez smile.gif

Hi,

Finally I have contacted performance one who service these units for snooper.

They claim there is no way to modify the unit to increase the volume.

Based on this I'll be selling mine, as my 8 year old SRD3000 is almost as good (without laser) and also detects gatso, except I get an obvious warning. I was under the impression that the S5 didn't get as many false alarms, but that's a load of bo**ox too.

The SRD920 laser jammer is (so I'm told) much louder when it's being triggered than the sound you hear when turning on the unit. So I'll be keeping this.

Jez.
