Is it the heater/air con fan?

More questions, more questions...

 

When i press the heater button next to the auto button, the noise i get from my an going on is incredible, if im driving it seems to get worse as i put my foot down?!! Switch it off and its fine, any ideas, is it the heater fan i need to replace or sumthink? how easy is it to get at this if it is?

    the fans on high are pretty loud but shouldnt get louder if you boot it, could be nackered fan or a dodgy aircon compressor, does it still make a noise if you press the "econ" button? would rule out the compressor if it does....
