Right guys and gals

 

I am looking to arrange this in April / May next year so i would like votes to say which month is prefered.

 

I am looking to arrange this at Oulton Park, Cheshire

 

The reason i am looking at this venue is because if we take into consideration where everyone is based this is pretty central and it is a great track, anyone who has been there for the touring cars etc will know this.

 

 

Price is yet to be confirmed but as soon as i get this from them i will post it.

 

What i do need is numbers of GENUINE people who want to attend and what i will be doing is taking small deposits then i will book it.

 

So this is what loads of you wanted so get your name down and put your money where your mouth is!!! ;)

Will there be any safety mods required? eg. rollcage, helmets, fire extinguishers etc.

i'll be willing to take the place of any 300zx owners who drop out!!! :tongue:

Nice one,was there a few months back,nice track,good views,excellent restaurant/cafe,so would be up for this,would prefer late may as april is Japfest, Castle Combe,will be staying over the two days in hotel with Donna.

 

I take it a passenger allowed on track. :)

Good on you for having a go at arranging this. I hope you have better experience than I do.

 

I must say that Oulton, although a superb track, is quite tricky to drive. I also really doubt that we will get out of 3rd gear. Infact you will be doing well if you get into 3rd gear. ;) Unless they use the full indie ciruit.

Who will the track be booked for Kirbz. Just us, other z clubs, anyone in a zed, anyone?

If its just for 300's, could this be made a National meet for the forum?

Dont really fancy taking my 300 on the track, but if it was a national meet, i would defo come down.

Im in!!!!!!! But i may not want to damage the love of my life but we'll see. Let us know asap so to leave my diary clear.

Whilst im here does anyone know why my 300zx 's speedo go off when I hit about 140mph only to come back on at about 20mph, the car is delimited and so I would like to see how fast im going post 140mph....although its hard to concentrate on your speedo at that speed, motorways arnt really that straight are they!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kirbz, they are really really strict as to how many decibels your car is pushing out at Castle Coombe (Local Residents etc) and mine for one certainly will not be quiet enough to go on the likes of Castle Coombe...

I'll be up for this, don't mind april or may just japfeat towards end of may.

I may be up for this Mike depending on distance. Oulton Park was a little far for my limited mileage policy :rolleyes:

I have raced all the tracks in the UK, and Silverstone looks like the best for the Z. Pity about the views though. Snetterton would be good, but I suspect that its too out of the way for most.Oulton is very tight, and quite challenging, How about Pembrey in Wales? Racing dates permitting next year, count me in. Ill go..... :hyper: :hyper:

Still waiting for a few places to come back to me with prices but its looking like to keep costs fairly low we will have to do it early in the year march / april as its alot cheaper then!! but looking at silverstone, oulton and a runway track as well :)

I went on an airfield day with motorsport-events.co.uk and I was pretty durn impressed. They use quite a few venues... No '05 calendar yet though. :( I've already emailed them to ask because I'm trying to sort one for the rotaries. There was a 300 from the Z club there by the way.

 

Oulton's not usually expensive?!

 

Mallory Park might be a useful central location.

:hyper: Yep im in :bow: Done this track on my ZX9 about 5 tears ago.

Bike track days are split into three groops Nov, Int & Nutters. Will this meet be the same and can I go in the pussy class as I want to keep the zed on the track :rofl: Don't mind what day book me in :D
