Found these links on TT Net. They give fascinating info on the subject of the different types of bulbs available, super white, blue, PIAA and HID kits and what works and what doesn't and some consumer tests. Apparently most of the super bulbs are often worse than std bulbs and even the HID kits are not always worth the money. Also a great article on how to rewire your headlamps to avoid voltage loss. Any auto electric experts out there please comment as it looks pretty good idea to me.
If you are about to upgrade your headlamps, as I am, its an eye opener.
