guttin the cats

Im about to gut the cats on my 1993zx and want some advice on a couple of things.

 

1) does the 1993 t/t IMPORT have a precat or is that just the uk?? And if so is it easy to take it off to gut ( i know i have to put back on , if i have 1 )

 

2) Is it just simple as taking the centre pipes where the cats are on , knocking the cats through , then putting them back on with new gaskets??

 

any advice appreciated

 

P.s. Dont worry about advice on the MOT im not worried about that.
