Hiya guys

Please can anyone contribute to this issue so I can get a general opinion on what to do.

A while ago I bought a second hand boost controller off ebay it was advertised without solenoid but it was stated I could expect to pay about 80 pounds or thereabouts for one including the loom.

So I snapped it up at £120 (blitz dual SBC).

I then found Blitz wouldnt supply spares without a receipt, however after weeks of digging I eventually decided to ask on the forum and I was immediately and very gratefully supplied one by Kirbz (I should have done it sooner), so I went back to Blitz, now they tell me they will supply the parts but the solenoid on its own is £160 + vat and pipes ect are additional.

My question is-

If I add 160 to 120 and say 50 for loom + T fittings etc that gives me £320, plus vat on 170 = total £360 why dont I just get my money back and buy a new one from one of the traders in the traders section, because the discription was inaccurate wasnt it?, well this is one thought but this guy has put me on his email ignore list on ebay and will not respond, however I have recently realised he is advertising on this forum, so although I cannot mention his name I can contact him again, but before I do, I wanted to know if everyone contributing to this question thinks it is worth getting the parts and using the controller. or should I persue a refund and buy new?

Thanks for your oppinion-

Yeh I left feedback and asked for help through the complaints section but unless I pay twenty quid, they just send an email, they did this and came back saying if I wanted it to move further I would have to pay twenty quid, I dont know what or if he responded.

Thanks for the PM I have replied, I must admit because I bought it off ebay I didnt think the guys on the forum would get involved, but I,ll contact one of the guys and see what they say, cheers

My advise would be always buy a new controler unless you personally know who and why they are selling it. Lets face it it they aint nothing wrong with it they need to have a good reason for selling don't they?

So get your money back and if they won't pay then name and shame.

Well I asked the guy very nicely, but he wont entertain it, after a second email he got a bit agressive, as I thought he would. he said that the sale was on ebay nothing to do with this forum etc and not to contact him about it via this forum.

I would love to name and shame but the rules on this forum are that I should not complain about traders on here so I wont, it was after all a sale on ebay so he wins

To be honest this forum is more important to me, I will have to get over it.

Thats a shit get-out IMO

There are no rules about complaining about traders, if you have a problem then please contact mac 1 and we will do our best to help you out in any situation.

Yeh it is! he's an arse but I dont want to start coming on this forum moaning or it might end up leaving me with a bad taste and eventually going off the forum, he ripped me off £120, I'm not going to let him piss me off more than he already has, he'll show his true colours on here sooner or later, then he will get kicked off.

Cheers for the support guys

By the way mike, I have contacted Macca and he has emailed him, but I dont think he will get him to budge to be honest, anyway well see you never know.

You seen the size of Macca? :D Ok so its mostly pies but.... :x: ;) :D

Is this person North west or South East?

And all is quiet........

If i bought anything from a shop new or second hand and it didn't perform it's function as stated on the box or in an advert i would politely ask for a refun.........

In law it has to do "what is says on the tin" if it doesn't the law is broken!

Why don't we have a poll first should you say who it is/isn't???????

Look at the result and decide by the majority?

We are a forum after all......

Mark he is north west of possible oriental oregin

You do crosswords Dave? ... that is a very good cryptic clue ... Hope you get things sorted mate.

cheers Cris, believe me i'm u.s at crosswords I wouldn't get it

LOL .. me 2 mate, never do them but something clicked in my tiny brain.

There is nothing worse than being done over when you have parted with your hard earned cash.

I have always found the traders that I have delt with on this forum excellent and two in particular have bent over backwards to help me out. I would defo have faith in Macca, if anyone can sort out issues it's him. So I wish you all the best of luck and I am sure it will work out well in the end mate.

Sorry for the Cris its Chris isnt it, your right everyone on here is trust worthy I should have bought from trader on here but I joined too late unfortunatley. you live n learn and all that.

That's ebay mate. I have bought shedloads off of ebay and luckily haven't been spanked yet, but I am sure I will sometime. Unfortunately it is the way of the world. Bound to happen sometime, just happened to you sooner rather than later. Put it all down to experience bud.

Saying that I have just thought of something. I bought a pair of BOV's off of ebay ove a year ago but they didn't come with a fitting kit. They are still in a cupboard somewhere, If they came with the kit they would be in by now, but without the kit I am a bit unsure what the fook I need to get them in correct .... Should have a try really.

I got some help off Kirbz when I needed a receipt for the controller its worth having a go, a lot of guys have bits knocking about you never know.

Yea .. I will give it a go .. seems every bugger lives about 200 miles from me .. LMAO.

And I need to get rid of that bloody goosehonk. Only started when I fitted my Blitz induction.

Zed's eh, Gotta lovem. :-) Take it easy, and good luck with the controller issues.
