As some of you know my car went into the bodyshop (QVR in Daventry) on Monday for the first round of body modifications. I was originally going to get the final part done more or less straight after, however the price they've now got back to me with for this last piece of work has turned out to be INCREDIBLY high, even considering their good reputation and bearing in mind the old adage "you pays peanuts, you get monkeys".

Although the car is going to look great (fingers crossed) when I pick her up, it's this last bit of work (the fitting of a non-300ZX specific kit) that is really the thing that would make it stand out...and is suitably difficult to execute. There would be a fair amount of cutting, shutting and smoothing involved. I can put it on the back-burner till next year (the kit is currently in storage) and try and get the money together (worst case scenario: sell the kit. Don't want to do it but it has crossed my mind :() but thought I'd ask around if anyone can recommend a good bodyshop that I can sound out about the project. I live just outside of Birmingham but TBH travelling wouldn't be an issue if a suitable company comes along.

Cheers,

Leigh.

Hi M8,

Not sure if it'll help but you may want to try Peter aka LEONARDO from the forum who owns a bodyshop (got my project car from him which had a subtle flip paintjob he did).

He is based up in County Durham so quite a trip from Birmingham but the car I got looks good and he's always got a few Zeds in for stuff so might be a good person to speak to for ideas anyways!!

I doubt he'll mind me giving you his number so if it's any use PM me at:

peter.payne@xchanging.com

And i'll give you his number.

Cheers,

Pete

Lol! I think there's an echo in here! ;) :D

Thanks for the input guys. I'm about to run the project by the bodyshop at Nemesis Performance in Essex (where the kit came from) but I'll definately see what Peter has to say about it! :)

Cheers,

Leigh.
