Fog lights on non-UK rear bumpers....

If you've not got the UK rear bumper what have you done for a rear foggy?

I guess converting a reversive light with a red filter is an option...

I used the inner pair of brake lights and a separate switch. Jeff has hooked up a relay so that the inner brake lights are used as fogs when switched on, but as brake lights the rest of the time.

Ditto.

Works a treat - must say i prefer the Jap bumper anyway smile.gif

Jeff,

You got a wiring diagram for that set up, had the inner brake lights converted to fogs when i bought the car but I do like the idea of a switching relay.

Thanks in advance

Tim

Now THAT is an excellent IDEA!

I MUST use it, I didn't like to lose the original setup!

And you pass the MOT no probs I assume...

Thanks guys!

Details of the correct relay would be great.

as just discussed on Hairsy' thread, my jap came with a switch that turned the right rear reverse lights on.

they was a white bulb in but managed to get red and passed MOT np.

Below my wiring diagram for the rear fogs works well and mot pass.Jeff TT

Just re-wired mine - Thanks...

Still waiting for the relay to compelete it, meanwhile the inner stops are just fogs.

If anyone still wants details on re-wiring a UK 300 with original fog button to use the inner lights (due to new rear bumper) I'll post more details.

If you wire up the inners without a relay you may want to disabe the "brake check circuit" for the stop lights.

Cheers,

Jez.
