Got fedup with people saying 'your window switch is loose'.

I bet I am not the only one that has a switch with the little plastic hooks broken off.

Fix:

Take a simple electrical double spade connector (See pic)

Drill out a small hole in the spade end.

Unscrew the existing screw behind the switch and fit the connector.(see pic)

Bend the connector at an angle and push it back in.

There is enough spring in the metal to secure it.

Job done.

Small screwdriver can prise it out again if necessary.

Not exactly rocket science but it works......will let you lot decide whether something this simple should go in the FAQ section... :) .

Cheers

This has got to be one of the most common problems.

Well done Martin, I will be using that technique myself.

The surround has been loose on mine for years - will get around to fixing it one day ...........
