Where to buy brake parts

My brakes are playing up. I reckon I need a master cylinder and maybe even disks and pads all round. I've tried the numbers in the traders section with not much luck, does anyone have any suggestions where I can order these parts from?

ASk your local garage man if he can sort it. I got a load from his local motor factors, and without any hassle. And it was reasonably cheap. All Quinton Hassell stuff. It seems that some of the products are fitted onto other Jap products as well as the mighty expensive 300zx.

disks and pads from 3G Brakes http://www.3gbrakes.co.uk/

They are v good and reasonably priced. Smithy in the traders section does Porterfield pads which are v v good.

Master Cylinder .. not sure. You could probably get a secondhand one from Andy Z in the traders forum.

what are your symptons? are you geting bubbles in your blake fluid resovoir?

I think that it runs at about 300quid for a MBC from Nissan.

I'm slowly losing fluid but not from the calipers so I reckon it is going into the servo. I don't drive the car more than once a week and then only for a few miles. I have also noticed that my brake peddle will slowly creep down when my foot is on it.

I had this once - master cylinder was knacked, went day before christmas holidays  so I could only get a cylinder at nissan, it was the only way to have a courtesy car for three weeks while it sat waiting, shame, but I think the saving in juice from a three week drive in a Micra saved me the cost of the cylinder.

Well I have managed to source a cylinder and if it arrives tomorrow morning, I can get it fitted tomorrow also. 50 quid from Zed world sounds resonable.
